A thought on the Benchmark headphone amps. Is it possible they use a closed loop architecture to better control the back EMF? I know closed loop amplifiers are often frowned upon in the audiophile world (no idea why) but maybe they are using a negative feedback loop to control the output voltage. Just a thought.
