Are there any wireless repeaters out there can be help to extend the range Linksys wireless routers? In a high interference area, the range is significantly reduced but would repeaters help?

Yeah repeaters will. Linksys sells repeaters for their own routers. If you want a lower price alternative, get a WRT54G/GS and flash the firmware to DD-WRT.
