Will this work as a headphone amp?

I know I don't come around here often, but I was thinking the future of getting an amplifier for my studio, and thought maybe it could also act as a headphone amp. The one I was looking inparticular was the Mackie M800 rackmount. Would it do its purpose like a headroom amp? Here's the link to the page:

If this wouldn't work for that purpose, is there a stationary rackmount that would, with multiple purposes? (studio monitors, speakers, microphones, etc).

BTW...I have Sennheiser HD580's, and the soundcard I run through is a M-Audio 1010LT.

Er, not directly - the output from that bad boy would fry most headphones in an eyeblink.

Now, if you used one of these ASL thingies on one of the Mackie amp's speaker outs, you could run headphones from it.

That's my take, anyway.

I think everyone here would agree that an 800 watt power amp and headphones don't go together

No, but it'll make an excellent amp for a big pair of mains for filling a large room.
