Windows 10 question here:

If have an app (audacity or something else with audio capture capabilities) capturing input from a radio that's connected to the microphone input of a USB audio card, can I go on a video chat and have my webcam's microphone be the sound capture device for that app, (Zoom, Teams, Facebook, Google DUO - whatever) and have my paired Bluetooth speakers the default output device for that app, or any other app that plays sound?

I know that the system will only allow one default input and output device at a time, but was wondering if if using app specific settings will allow me to use two different microphone inputs at once, while also allowing me to ignore the USB card's sound output and direct all sounds to Bluetooth output.

Thanks

You can do this in Windows by using an aggregate device - this allows you to bind together two discrete inputs and mix them down into a single aggregate 'device' that can be selected and used within apps like Twitch/Zoom/Teams etc.. The bad news is that there's no native Win10 support for it, so you need an app like ASIO4ALL or similar. There's a good article about this very issue here https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/aggregate-audio-devices-and-drivers-for-pc-and-mac/

I only have Zoom here but Zoom definitely lets you choose which input device and which output device to use. Skype does too.
