Any comment on this upgrade path as I'm currently using a Westone UM1.
Going from entry level to top tier universal will always be a very noticeable upgrade technically. But it might be a downgrade to your ears if you hate the sound signature of what you are upgrading to.

Extremely! With UM1 you basically only getting the midrange frequency. With the other two you will also get bass and treble.
This post reminds me the time when I upgrade my W1 to UM3X two years ago, the world has changed forever.....![]()

I am not sure thats a good explanation! UM1 produces the full spectrum of sound surely.
