Will rockbox ever support the ipod classic (gen 6)?

Since rockbox is constantly updated, it will eventually support the newest ipod classic right? How long will that take?

No. No-one is working on porting Rockbox to the iPod Classic, and there is no prospect that Rockbox will be ported to it any time in the foreseeable future. You can find out more about exactly what the impediments are in this thread from the Rockbox forums:

Thanks, so I guess there is a possibility of the touch having a rockbox firmware developed for it though.
