will my k501 burn out?

will my k501 burn out?

this afternoon, my little brother came into my room and switch my audio on. unfornuity, he turned the volume control of the headphone amp on to the max, and my k501 was sounded very loudly on the ground. will this operatoin make any damaged to my k501?

pls anyone can answer my problem?

As long as it was a headphone jack it was plugged into and not a speaker amplifier, they're probably fine. There are actually people who'll tell you to do that on PURPOSE to make the bass response better, although I happen to like mine the way they are. As long as they still seem to be working, they're most likely fine - if you actually blow out the drivers in a pair of headphones, either you won't hear ANYTHING when you use them or it'll sound really, really scratchy and staticey.

If music sounds distorted or too quiet thorugh them then the driver may have been damaged, however if they sound just fine then there shouldn't be any damage.

jazpresso: I certainly wouldn't recommend that as everyday treatment -- but if your K501 still sounds the same now, it should still be undamaged. And it's a power-hungry beast, anyway. So no worries...
