...the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pros? For some reason, I decided to check out this site again after a bit of a hiatus, and upgraditis hit me hard. I read about Shure's new (to me) line, and they seem very intriguing. From what I've read, I think I'd like the 440s more than the 840s, since I like what might be called a Gradoish sound (the KSC75s are *very* pleasing to my ears), minus the Grado comfort (or lack thereof). Would I be very disappointed if I were to buy the 440s? FWIW, I have a cheap four-channel amp coming out of my Dell desktop with a Soundblaster Live card. Most of my music is 256+, with all my CDs 320 or better.
