Just curious if anyone thinks that they will spring for Doc B's new headphone amp kit? Sounds like it will go for $300 or so. I don't have much personal experience with his other kits but there aren't too many people who don't consider the vast majority of them "high bang fpr the buck" products.

I almost fell for the foreplay but circumstances pushed me towards my wooaudioI. Everyone likes Doc B's stuff though...but if it's $300 for the kit, I'd get a wooaudioI again.

I have heard the proto-type (spelling?) of Doc's SEX amp with my HD-600 Equinox. Very nice sounding!

Was that your set at RMAF? I was less than thrilled with having to listen to the HD497s connected to the thing since I knew that the HD497s aren't too responsive to amplification although it seems they were trying to demo a budget set of cans to folks. I quickly swapped for those HD600s since I wanted to hear how the thing sounded with a set of cans I knew were more responsive to amplification. While it wasn't bad overall, I thought the amp sounded a bit thick and slow although it was quite pleasant sounding. For $349 it certainly wasn't bad and probably fun to put together.

Wish the enclosure was a bit nicer. The MAD amps use the same materials and looks 10x better.
