will a turbodock/mini IC save my ipod mini?

took a break from listening to my ipod as ive been busy with work. going back to my portable setup of a ipod mini ->generic mini IC -> cmoy-> sportapro, proved to be dissapointing experience. For some reason the same MP3 track sounds like hes speaking slower than normal. I even slapped on my ad2000s the ipod still sounding horrible. Will a turbodock and new mini IC bring new life to DAP or should i just sell it for something else?

The iPod mini has one of the worst headphone out's of the iPods.
Amping the phone out isn't that great of an idea but it works though in this case horrible. Just a note that amping the phone out is also not a good idea since your doing it to an already amped signal.
A line out and good quality interconnect cable will yield a very noticable difference to your setup.
