Hi guys, give me advice. I need open headphones for metal music, but detailed, with wide soundstage and good separation between instruments (progressive, little bit heavy and electronic). 150$ for used. What it can be? akg 612, 701? hd600 is too narrow?

Based upon the conversations weve had in PM,your budget,your needs,your amp,another headphone to consider is the Fidelio X1 or X2.
I own the X1,and its not bad. I only use it for gaming,and the mids are too recessed for metal compared to others I own,but it does have a wide staging,good thump,and some sparkle up top. Its also quite easy to drive.

I own the the DT990,X1,DT880 and if I had to pick one of those for metal,I'd pick the X1. Again its not the best ive ever heard for metal by any means,but not bad. Its also pretty good for electronica too.

On sound demo at youtube they sounds similar to hd612pro, wide soundstage and have no punch, but less detailed, and with subbass. Maybe its not right to listen it like this.

They definitely have more punch than k701, sextett. Punch is Def there. It's the mids I'm not sure if you will like.

their pinch is greased, too light, like a blow pillow, if im right describing. generally they isnt bad, but not what im want. k712 sound demo was more colored, emotional, clear, detailed.

Yeah I understand what you mean.
The k701 is a superior sounding headphone imo, but it is quite amp dependant.

I would recommend HD600

you'll find it difficult to find amps for K701

What about the K7xx? Is it exactly like the k701? Reason I say is because there’s one for sale right now in the forums. $100 I think. The one with the red highlights. Looks sick. I know nothing about the headphone personally though. Just know it looks cool and is budget.

Ah just saw you’re in EU. Don’t remember where the K7xx is or if he’d ship there.
