Hey all,

Yes, that’s right. Fulla. Our new $79 combo DAC/amp that plugs into virtually any computer, delivers up to 24/96 high definition audio, 5-10x the output power of your typical laptop headphone output, and features a real, live, honest analog volume knob!

Yes. No fiddling with software, no fumbling at pushbuttons…and no drivers, period. Just plug into any PC or Mac, most Linux machines, some Chromebooks, the Sony PS4, and, with external power cables, iPhones and Android phones. Great music, instantly, from virtually any platform.

And did we say this was made in the USA…in a custom aluminum and steel chassis…and $79?

Nice, been thinking about getting something the same size of my dragonfly dac for a little while now. I'll probably jump on Fulla right after the holidays.

As mentioned in the product page, check here for some connection related information, including caveats and hubs:

I have an iPhone 6, so I'm kinda wary myself in having to get the Lightning to USB cable and then not having a good experience with power issues on my train commute ...

Start from here and then buy a microusb to miniusb otg cable like this one

Yethal, the Lightning to Micro USB adapter has this in the description

Audio and Video output is not supported through this adapter, it only has charge and data sync capabilities

If the adapter allows for USB audio, then it would be ok.  Have you experience with this adapter?

I do but I've only used it for data transfer.

As mentioned in my post, I am looking for a portable hub, not an AC powered one.

Not sure if you've seen this thread, found it via search:

I wasn't aware battery powered USB hubs even existed.

I just ordered a Fulla with the intent to use it with my MacBook Pro to drive IEMs and sealed cans while traveling or at the office.  I'll use it with my iPhone 6, too, if there turns out not to be a power draw issue.  I'd rather not travel around with a portable USB hub.

I'm officially Fulla Schiit now.  Picked it up from the post office this morning and listened to a few songs.  Some observations:

  1. The Fulla can drive a HD 600 way past what my MacBook Pro's native headphone out can do, with "fulla" soundstage and extension at both ends.
  2. With my Westone 3 IEMs, there's very limited volume play as noted by others.  Going to 9 o'clock is already way too loud.  However, same positive sound quality improvement as with the HD 600.
  3. Found a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter and plugged in my stock HE-560 -- for the hell of it, not that I'd ever be traveling with that -- and it somewhat respectably drives it to moderate volume at 11 o'clock on the pot.  The SQ with the HE-560 leaves a lot to be desired though, so that's a combination I won't be trying again.  FWIW, the HE-560's usual home is a Lyr 2 fed from a Bifrost Uber via optical and, well, I'd be a fool to expect the Fulla to even approach that level of special.
  4. The little pouch that ships with the Fulla is not very useful.  The drawstrings are too far from the opening of the pouch to actually be of any use with the Fulla inside.  If they were nearer the opening, they might actually help close the pouch a bit to keep the Fulla from sliding out.  That's my only complaint and it has nothing to do with the Fulla itself.

I can't report on how it works with an iPhone 6 yet as I only just ordered a micro to mini USB cable.  Had forgotten to after I already ordered and received a lightning to micro USB adapter.
