Why would you use both? Is there a big difference between using one and using two? Would I notice a huge difference if I hooked up a preamp in my system? I've got a 963sa, gilmore v2, and dt880.

uh your gilmore IS a preamp.. adding another would be kinda silly. The only reason for adding a preamp would be for volume control and source selection - hooking source to amp would always yeild better results (with quality equipment).

So...is it ok to just have the v2 in my system? Do I need a dedicated amp? How should I hook the wires up to the back of the amp? Should I run my 963sa into one of the two input things, or into the one labeled pre-out?
