Well.
Though I loved my Panasonic CD player SL-S232C esp. with remote control (but I lost that too!), to play larger amounts of music per CD via MP3's, I finally got myself a MP3-compatible portable CD player... SL-MP36C.
While it has really nice features (yes, it's old model!) like ID3 support, I just remembered to try listening to actual CDs using both to compare...
Here at work, portability is quite a factor, but when I inserted my CD of Latin Classical Guitar CD into the younger brother of the two: MP36C, I noticed that CD didn't sound so clear. So I inserted it into the older brother: S232C. Wow... so much clearer!
The DAC must be much better in that one (could someone find that out for me?!)... I am using Zmoy for both CD players with my JVC HA-G55 (it's just for work), and using Line Out for the older model as my newer one didn't have any!!
Here's to the respect for the older!! And I don't mean just electronics!
I'm gonna have to keep my older SL-S232C around longer than I hoped for!
