Why so many "feel-good" threads?

Justification. Like when you buy a Ford car the only other cars you see on the road are Fords. It's all about telling yourself that you weren't crazy making the purchase.... "there's a Ford, there's another, wow I've made the right choice" Justification.

Why do so many people need to start their own "feel-good" thread?
Is it because some people don't feel good about their purchases per se?
I would say going from a stock earbud to something like PX100 is reason enough for rejoicing.
