Why must my Karma torture me?

I bought it this evening, I rush home and install the software, copy some CD's (which takes a lloooooooonnnnnnnngggggggg time,) and now it's not letting me put tracks on the player. The little green arrow thing isn't lighting up whenever I click on a track(s) to put on the player.
