Why grado 225 are better than 335's with rock?

LOL. If you meant the 325, I've never heard that before although many like the 225 better than the 325 because it doesn't have as much of a high end. On the 325 many consider the treble region to be excessively bright.

325:+'s: more detail, more frequency extension, better bass slam, better build quality, slightly padded headband, look cooler

-'s: treble is not forgiving, increased bass/treble don't led the midrange shine through as much, physically heavier (made parts of my ears hurt after a while, even with flat pads), more expensive


225:+'s: sweeter midrange, highs more forgiving of not so-well recorded material, lighter (i.e. more comfortable), cheaper

-'s: not as detailed or extended, weaker bass slam, looks like a $40 headphone based on build quality

I found the build quality of the sr225's and sr325's to be similar, both better made then sr60's and worse made then rs-1's/rs-2's..

I found the sr325's gave me a headache after 15 minutes of listening because of the excessive amount of treble they produce.

Biggie.
