So, ive been thinking of setting up my computer as a source now, trying to get a home system set up.
I have an m-audio revo 7.1. Would it be better to sell this and get an e-mu? Those seem to be really popular around here.
I think i will get a dedicated DAC, probablyt a lite-ah dac or any other reccomendations under 200$?
I guess in order to connect you would have to go through the coax out and have it split to RCA? can someone give me some links for such cables? <100$
then from there, the DAC should just rca-> amp right?
Anything special needed to be done software wise? Would the player program really matter since im using an external DAC?
for the people not using external DAC's, why not? Is the e-mu that good?
