Nothing SPECTACULAR, but I'm fairly stoked on what I found cause I save a couple bucks.

My GFs Infiniti G20 has blown speakers and a really crappy headunit. Although her neighborhood isn't full of vandals or anywhere remotely dangerous, I figure I'de keep things at an uber minimum and not flashy, but DECENT SQ (for her atleast

). And considering it's the GF car, no need to go all crazy.

Check out what I've won:

Rockford Fosgate Punch Sub Q-Logic Box

Nothing extravagant, but nothing to scough at either. Also, we need trunk room for the stroller

Alpine headunit

Godd for what it is. I had one in my Civic and even though it's rated pretty low, it has a clean signal. The crossovers are pretty good too.

Clarion 4x6 Speakers
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=270118765948
Never gave clarion speakers a shot, but my buddy had these in his Porsche and they sounded dece.

Visonik 400 watt amp
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=110125506550
I only went half RMS wattage (prolly gonna run it at less) on the sub since I'm not amping the other speakers and so the bass doesn't sound horribly bloated.

I still need to find some 6 3/4 speakers for the rear.....how'd I do?

Are you doing the install yourself? If not, it'll cost 5x what you paid in components to get them in the car.

This is important because the speakers are 20 years old and recovered from a wreck, the amp is reconditioned, and the HU is sold as is. It would be a PITA and expensive just to end up replacing them after failure and having to pay for install again.

The 4x6's? Nah....they just came out of an older car. Those speakers weren't around 20 years ago, lol. They came out 5-6 years ago. http://www.carreview.com/cat/car-aud...7_1805crx.aspx

The Amp is brand new, factory sealed, refurbed, but manufacturer refurb. Kinda like buying a refurbed iPod from apple, mineas well be new. The HU, sold as is, but he states it plays CDs and all the functions work and lights up. Alpine's are pretty robust in that regard. it's the only reason I chose to stick with an older Alpine, and specifically that one.

I'll be doing all the install myself, with maybe the exception of wiring the amp...I hate running speaker wire. My buddy works at Best Buy, and I'm HOPING he can give me an install deal on the amp.

Yeah, but I guess that's half the fun. Plus, if it does all work then man will feel proud of achievement!

^^haha. Can't go wrong though, and entire system that's not COMPLETE junk, for under $160.....still scouring for 6.75s and trying to stay under $200....it's kinda like a self challenge.

This is a big step for me, cause car stereo is a small passion of mine that I've tried so hard to stay away from. Not a competition passion, but a SQ passion. My last car had COMPLETE Boston Acoustic components/crossovers, and a Boston sub with in a Boston passive radiator box, powered by Alpine V12 amps, and a Kenwood Excelon Headunit....

Yeah, I'm a little obessive compulsive. It's a huge step for me to NOT spend money on high end, lol.
