I use the larger bi-flanges for the Etymotic ER-6i's and I can say I'm very very please with them. I also own the Super.fi 3 Studio's and they do have more impactful bass, but not as good quality bass. I really think it's just a tad less than the SF3's anyways and the Ety's are more detailed. I do have two small questions: Would my ER-6i bi-flanges fit on the ER-4P's nozzle and what's the difference between the ER-4P's and the ER-6i's because if it's more detailed and maybe even a little better quality bass I might faint

bass is all about impact and feeling and power and dare i say it...boom! but with earphones the ripples and vibrations and bounces of bass cannot be felt so in order for bass to sound good at has to be smooth but powerful and impact has to be heard.

anyway the er6i struggle to create impact and punch and in general something all the etymotic line lack because less bass preserves the accuracy of the mids and highs.

for true bass and clear but still powerful sound id advise trying something along the lines of super fi 5 or for exceptional bass quality maybe triple fi or se530. then you may see why people claim ''no bass''.

i agree its there, i am in no way saying its absent but still i do agree it lacks impact big time

anyway if you like the er6i then enjoy them they are a sweet set of iem's but generally the entry level high end iem

all depends what you define bass as, because weak light and empty isnt bass, bass is big strong and punchy. well good bass anyway, theres deffinaately bass there but its nothing special

My ER-6i has good bass. Its not powerless in low regions, the balance between every frequency is about as even as you can get without getting lean anywhere.
