I know that there's two of them and Zanth owns one that was modded by Carlo himself and there's another one in existence that some Head-fier own. If somebody knows who or if somebody have pics of it, I would be really grateful !

Sincerely,

Julien

[EDIT 1]
Ok, I found out that Grinch owned it, then Dvr did in 2003 but I don't know where it is now...

[EDIT 2]

It looks like it was auctioned on Audiogon in early 2004...

Anyone from here ?

Go over to Audio Asylum and post here. There would be a larger audiance to appeal to. Go to the tube section or the General section.

I prefer the "classic" view over the one that comes up if you don't go to it.

Don't worry, you would be outbid with certainty. There are so many of us that would love to get our hands on that amp.

Zanth reluctantly put it up for sale a little more than a year ago. IIRC he had to free up some funds for school. An awesome head-fier, jjcha, came through and provided him the assistance he needed to alleviate his financial burden so that he could take the SHA-X off the market. It was a really awesome gesture that confirmed just how strong the community here is at head-fi.

EDIT - I believe, although I'm not certain, that bozebuttons has the other SHA-X, or at least a very heavily modified one that was worked on by Carlo.

Thanks for that info.

At the moment I'm still hoping that melosinnovations place is going to open its doors for business. I haven't been able to enjoy my Gold for months now due to a low rumbling noise that developed in the left channel only. It was working fine and then one day I left on for close to 24 hours and the rumble appeared.

Carlo, if you're reading this, please come back to the fold good sir.

Have you checked the tubes? Try to swap them, if the problem exist in the other channel now you can just buy new tubes.
