Well that's because most of the good things about these headphones have already been said over and over in the past and people are sick of raving about them. Do a search and you'll find many reviews, both positive and negative.

p.s. I love my pair. Give it a good amp though, they deserve it. No, they CRAVE it.

I love my pair of the HD 600, also. The ONLY way that they'll sound anywhere near 'mediocre' is if I listen to them directly from an unamped Walkman headphone jack or some F-ing cheap-@$$ computer-speaker/boombox jack.

Love 'em. And the best system I've yet heard is an HD 600-based system (BlockHead/Cardas/HD 600).

Like others have said, one reason you don't hear a lot of good things right now is that people are bored of the silly love/hate arguments over the HD 600

The HD-600's and the Etys are fighting for top spot. When it is quiet I love to sit and listen using the HD-600's. I have been auditioning a Cosmic for the last couple of weeks and marvel at how it allows the 600's to show what they can do.

I have 2 pairs of HD600's, one with clou red and one with the cardas smuff cable. Both run thru my 2001 headroom max, which feeds off my NAD C541 thru some alpha-core 99.999% pure silver interconnects.

Suffice it to say, my HD600's are golden.

Slam, liquid, detail. Whatever the music has, the HD's deliver.

I could go into music examples here, but thats for another forum.
