I just brought two acoustic Guitar music CDs today :

B0000DJEM7.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Latin American Guitar Music
Composer: Astor Piazzolla, Dilermando Reis, et al.
Performer: Ricardo Cobo
Label: Naxos -
Audio CD (November 18, 2003)
ASIN: B0000DJEM7

Album Description
This recording presents a selection of some of the least and the best known exponents of twentieth century Latin-American guitar repertoire, among them the internationally renowned Argentinian composer Máximo Diego Pujol, whose Elegy for the death of a tanguero is an elegant homage to his compatriot, the father of the classical tango, Astor Piazzolla. Leo Brouwer is found in unusually lyrical mood and two of Piazzolla’s most popular songs are heard in an arrangement by Colombian-born guitarist Ricardo Cobo.

Man, if you like acoustic guitar work, check out these Acoustic Alchemy CDs:

Back on the Case
The Beautiful Game
and Positive Thinking

I have a bunch more of their albums, but these threea re my favorites. Back on the Case is WAY ahead sound wise to my ears, and the gap from first to second in this order is quite large.

HI: Great stuff there. I am awed at how superbly this Guitar playing is and how great it sounds. Anything that takes me from listening to Pink Floyd has to be great. LOL.

I guess I would have to add Neil Young's Unplugged also. I never liked his music that much, but this album was over the top good.

Richard Thompson's playing is really interesting.
Some of his albums are all accoustic and some a mixture of accoustic and electric. Nearly all good though.

Try "You? Me? Us?" two CDs one "nude" and one "voltage enhanced"

His web site is here and has a full discography going back to the sixties and some samples to download.
