who has removed the foam pads from k81's?

Just wondering how many of you guys have removed the foam inserts in your k81's. I personally have them removed right now, but I tend to change my setups quite often. I like the increase in highs and I think the mod calms the bass down quite a bit. Well let's hear it!

I removed mine shortly after I received them. Definitely brought out the highs and tamed the bass a bit.

wow, looks like most people are taking the foams out. I wasn't sure what the "magnitude" of this mod was. So far we're 7:1 : )

Oh, i voted no, never toched them, but hey, removed them now, and they sure sound more open and shrill, but still really calm! great tip!

I was very sceptical in the beginning, but I develop from a basshead towards a treblehead anyway.

Well, as a non native english, i guess i used the wrong term. Still, they opened up a lot. im sorry if i offended someone.

No need to remove the pads to get rid of the foam. Just drag the foam out from the outside of the pads, and enjoy.

Damn, well that was easy. But now the pads are off. Anyone actually successfully put them back on
