This is a track car man...the whole point of it is to use it on a track where you will use it...this one looks nice but I still think the front looks goofy on this thing.

Speaking of yellow, that's Lotus' colour, not lamborghini's, they've never really stuck to one colour or another.

Hmmm... For some reason, when I think of yellow sports car, first thing that comes to mind is definetly Lamborghini and not Lotus. I guess thats because most Lambos I have seen have been Yellow, dunno.

Countach is definetly red, but later Lambos have definetly been yellow dominated (or its different mixtures like orange)

Nope, see my earlier posts. That's why I love Aston so much. Even Lambo has lost some of its trademark pure insanity that made it so unique.

Aston Martins are soul-wrenchingly beautiful. And I have a model Ferrari Enzo sitting on my bookshelf.

Have any of you seen the Aston 177?

It's a beauty, that's for sure.

I don't think I could keep up with the scheduled maintenance, insurance and registration. However, an older 308 would be a pretty nice car - maintenance is a DIY proposition with those and you'd still have a Ferrari. I've lusted for one since I got a ride in one many years ago. A friend of the family had one and I got a spin around town. Great fun! Ans there's nothing quite like the sound of a Ferrari engine - even their V8 is damn sexy.

I was strongly considering getting a 308, as it would have been around the same price as my 370Z. In the end, I decided that no warranty was a deal breaker, given my history with my old 911, which ended up with repairs equal to about 150% of the price I paid, so I bought the Nissan.

Yeah, it's absolutely stunning. It is one of the few production cars that still blows my mind, where you see it and think that must be a concept.

Well...

I am a car fan, so I don't get how you don't understand them

.

However, your second point is valid. My car has 332HP, which is probably (just a guess) about half of what a modern Ferrari has. I rarely get a chance to use all those horses; with a 0 to 60 time of slightly under 5 seconds, you just can't floor it in the usual Los Angeles traffic without killing someone. I have to drive about thirty miles just to get to an area where I can really open it up.

That being said, I wouldn't part with my car for the world. It's right up there with audiophilia, movies and video games. On the rare times that I have an empty highway in front of me, there is nothing more exciting than stomping on the pedal and getting thrown back in the seat.

Making me feel inadequate with 174 horses (come on I'm just a high school kid).... My dad has 100 more than me with 274 and 280 lb-ft of torque (mazdaspeed6)

Ferrari's are overrated :p Aston's do it for me more... I saw so many Ferrari's and Aston's and more in Switzerland i was used to them by the time i left.

Also i know they dont compete with the big boys in comparison at all. But i would really love a Lotus Exige over any of the supercar's on the market.

Get listing. If I like any of them, I will have you do them for me and buy you this car you desire.

I remember my first ride in a Ferrari, ever since then I understood why car fanatics can be so interested in autos. My friends dad asked me if I wanted a ride, and of course I said yes. We pulled onto an entrance ramp, he drives half way down and stops to make sure no one's in the proximity (citizens and police). Then he put his foot on the gas, it was the first time I'd ever felt the "roller coaster" feeling in my stomach outside of a roller coaster. It's a visceral experience topped off with Italian leather and a roar that would scare the crap out of any animal. If I had the choice between a mansion and a luxury car, or a rambler and super car, the choice would be easy. My mind was made up before we even merged.

That's the same feeling I got in my cousins 96 camry... It decked to 40 and it was "The Mummy" all over again. Too bad I had Chipotle right before.
