I've been shopping around for a pair of Ety ER-6i, and I noticed several cases where the white version goes for around 5 dollars less than the black version. Are there any actual differences other than the color, or is the white version just less popular for some reason?

That too, forgot about that.

I have the black version, it has a good plug with good stress relief and if you drop the player it has no problems pulling out without harm. Can't say anything about the white.

As for sound, fit, accessories, etc, thats the only difference.

Hm. It might be worth shelling out a few extra bucks for the angled plug, since it looks like that L-assembly offers a real plastic area to grip when unplugging the cord. I'm constantly plugging and unplugging my JVC FX66 between various components, and the rubber end of the straight-angle plug has come loose over time.

Also, it looks like it's easier to tell L from R on the black ones....

This price difference between is common. Clear SF5 pro's are about £5-10 more expensive than the black or white ones, and the same sort of thing is present between silver and black denon 700's, with black costing more.
