Quite interesting? Doesn't seem like a rousing endorsement.

Well, I'm normally a Scotch drinker, bourbon is foreign territory to me. This was not some sweet Jack or Jim syrup soda pop, so I could enjoy it. I found in interesting enough to keep trying. Better than some I've bought that never got a second sip. :)

Gotcha. I find many Whiskey's and bourbon too sweet as well. Despite having a friend with a very refined Scotch palette and always very good Scotch, I rarely enjoy it. Saying that I do prefer, if I'm to be honest, mixing well crafted Whiskey with ginger ale. Canada Dry of course.

If you mix properly, ginger ale I find actually allows you to taste the character of the whiskey.
