Of course we listen to music all day long. But when you get home from work/school and your sitting listening to your music what are you most likely doing?

I'm always just on the computer browsing the web. Attempting to cut back on my computer use so trying to come up with some idea's. Yes this is lame but figured it would make an interesting thread.

So what do you do?

MS-1 while on the computer. I can use them for background music while doing other things. MS-1 also for portable.

MS2i for serious listening. When they are playing, nothing else matters.

HD600 for serious listening as well, but their more relaxed nature allows them to be enjoyed while still giving some attention to other relatively simple tasks.

No music while driving. Sound system hard-wired to accelerator.

No music while trying to study.

If nobody is watching TV I will quite often put on a CD or one of the cable music channels on the main system just for background music. Not the kids first choice since I tend to try to sing along if I know at least one of every nine words in a song.

One of the following:
* Nothing. Lean back, close my eyes and enjoy the music.
* Browsing the web (Head-Fi, etc...).
* Chat
* Compiling
* Something else...

Typically I browse the internet, though I can do homework to classical music from time to time. If I try to listen to any sort of music with words while doing homework I'll write what the music is saying instead of what I am actually trying to write.

Drive. Surf Head-Fi and the Internet. However, when I am preparing to write an audio or music review, I simply concentrate and listen to the widest range of music. I am also crafting the review in my head until I feel I am ready to put it into writing.

Another web surfer.
Also video games...but not homework, can't concentrate.

I wonder if this is why head-fi is so popular? Surfing it is the perfect thing to do while listening to music.

My main rig is my computer, so odds are I am doing something involving the computer while listening to music. Mainly surfing the internet, Head-fi, watching speed runs of old games (don't know why but I love watching the hell get beat out of games that used to beat the hell out of me), and the occasional Freecell game.
