which way should i go?

my requirements are pretty simple. im looking for an open, $60-$100 headphone with a smooth sounding,big yet tight bass response and an impressive soundstage to be used on a pc unamped and mainly for hip hop music.im leaning towards the hd485's currently after searching the forum. is there any others i should be looking at?

I guess maybe some hd555s, but they don't have a ton of bass.

At your price range, it's impossible to find what you want. You'll need to go all the way to the HD600 to get an open back that has both an impressive soundstage and a big yet tight bass.

For your price range, your best option will be a closed back. Like the D1001.

i guess i was on the right track. i was looking at the hd485,hd555 and the d1001(because they're oh so comfortable) in that order..the soundstage doesnt exactly have to be outstanding..it just has to be present.
