About a year ago, my LG G4 died due to the bootloop problem. I replaced it with an LG V10, and I couldn't be happier with its SQ. To my ears, it sounded amazing when paired with my soundmagic E80. But few days ago, it died too from bootloop. Not long ago, my wife's LG G4 died too with the same symptoms. And LG refuses to fix my phone because I bought it used ("like new") from ebay, and it is out of warranty.
If I didn't have 3 LG phones dying within a year, I wouldv'e bought the LG V20, but now I cannot bring myself to buy another LG, and I'm looking for another phone that would sound good with my E80's. My budget it up to 400$.
Looking at all the current smartphones within my price range, it looks like ZTE Axon 7 could be an option. However, reading some threads here at head-fi, I got the impression that it is not as good as the V10. So my questions are:
1. Coming from the V10, would I be dissapointed with the Axon 7, or are the differences relatively minor?
2. Are there any other smartphones I should consider?
