If the Hori protects the screen as well as the IS (I'm comfortable knowing I could rub sand paper on my screen and not get a scratch) and it's as unnoticeable as the IS, then it's probably a better bet.

Oh yeah, and assuming the price is right. I believe the IS is 14.95 with lifetime guarantee/replacements.

The Hori one absolutely vanishes, and is totally impossible to scratch. The one I have now shows where I've been playing Meteos...

You can usually get the Hori ones between 8 and 9 bucks, and I've never had to replace one until I sold my older DS. Wish I hadn't let the Horis go with it, since they're tough to find in the USA now.

Hold it, hold it, stop the press...it shows where you've been using the stylus? So why put it on? I'm buying a DS Lite so I want to know if I should put one on or not. If I put on something so I don't see scratches/idents and there are indents on that that seems like that would bug the anal person (me) who put it one to prevent said event from happening in the first place. I mean is that not as annoying as genuine scratches on the virgin touch screen?

I still haven't opened my DS Lite yet. It's in a very pretty box. Play-Asia shipped my order on Sunday (Monday in Hong Kong). Meanwhile, can someone tell me how to apply the Hori's because I don't understand Japanese.

the red tab goes on the top. the white goes on the bottom. i had some trouble with the top one getting dust on it. so i took it off and ran some water through it, reapplied, and it looks fine now. no problem with the bottom, though it is not cut exactly the same size, it's a bit smaller than the screen so size it up first. they look awesome once they're on...well you can barely tell that they're there..

It's pretty bad. It was some other brand that was packaged very much like the Horis where at my local import shop in Chinatown. Really lousy quality. I am replacing my import DS Lite with an American one (dead pixel bugged me) so I wanted to hold off on installing the precious Hori DS cover that jjcha brought me back from Japan.

I strongly suggest buying hori screen protectors other than amazon (DIRECTLY, nor marketplace) or playasia. I just received a cheap unreliable third party screen protector called Insten Screen protectors when I specifically ordered hori screen filter plus from amazon marketplace...grrr... I hope I get an A to Z guarantee
