Recently, i've truly realized what a good headphone can do, but most of the favored headphones are just absolutely huge! I want a pair of portable headphones, but that somehow can keep some decent sound quality too. I'm not really interested in earbuds though...so no ety's or shures!

I just can't decide on the model that i want though...i've narrowed it down to these ones though!

senn px 100, 200, or 250's

audio tech. - any of the models from the earclip selection (does anyone know about the in-ear ATH-EC7? )

Sony MDRG74SL

Koss KSC35

or any others that your willing to suggest!

~budget isn't actually a problem for this, just gotta save up some more if it's in the hundreds!

I like the PX200s but especially if you are willing to spend more you might look at canalphones. They range from $65 to $450 street and then up to almost $1000 for custom molded ones.

ATH-EW9 woodie clipons are at my house when I get home from work... got here today. I'll let you know what I think of 'em when I get home, but at between 150-200 $US they may be more than you want to spend.

was thinking about it, but decided against the canalphones, mainly cause i can't exactly share my music with them. the only problem with the 200's is the fit, but it seems that only certain people actually have problems with this.

saint.panda (a cousin?) wrote a review of the Senn HD 25-1 that's convinced me they will be my next portables.

a bit pricey ($170-200), but it's worth a listen.

Buying the PX200 from a place that will take returns (i.e. headroom) would be a good idea. I had to futz with them at first to get a seal but after a short time, a couple of days, I would just put them right on just right. I don't use them that often these days and I still don't have a problem.

yeah...if i were to get px 200's i would definetley get them at a place where i can return them. I might even get them at a local store and pay the extra 10 for retail price. Then i won't have to pay shipping for returns and such. but so far, the 200's are looking better and better
