I know this have been extensively discussed at head-fi, but i never saw a poll and really would like to see in numbers this question.
I'm really interested in buying a flat and a bagel to try with my RS-1 ...

Feel free to post your model(s) and which pads have you tried with it(them).

For all Grado/Alessandro products I have owned or heard:
Flats with solid state amplification.
Bowls with tube amplification.

Only exceptions:
PS-1s = Bowls regardless of amplification type used.
HP-2s = Flats regardless of amplification type used.
GS-1000 = Bowls regardless of amplification type used.

When I apply the above suggested Grado pad usage, it works out perfectly (for me) 95% of the time.

I'm flats 90% of the time with my MS2i. The other 10% is spent with the stock bowls.
