I don't recognize any of those as being the top of the line Sonys of their time, the models I usually look for in the used market, are:
Sony D-10, D-25, D-35, D-555, D-777, D-303.

If any of the models you listed are more than ten years old, there is a good chance they will sound better than the average new PCDP, less than ten years and you are taking a chance.

I have a D-66, it isn't bad. Mine's broken, but that's because I abused it.

Can you post a pic of the D-151? I think thats a unit my brother had. It sounded very nice, smooth would be the way to describe it.
It broke after a few years, the headphone jack went out.

i still have my d33 which is the first discman i ever got. it is pretty old, and still works perfectly. i keep it next to my bed for late night listening. out of the headphone jack there is a little noise, but overall the sound is airy and clean. i use the mega bass setting 1 for low level listening and it is a pretty good eq for mega bass. if ebay is an option for you there are some d25s discmans there for about $50. good luck.

I have a D-66 and it's fine for me. Its phone and line out are pleasant. I sometimes use Grado SR60 and I like the combination.

Other times I use Total Airhead Amplifier and sound get richer and bass is fuller, but not a great difference like happens with lesser sources.

I can't compare with D-25 or D-777, etc, because I never heard them, though
