Hello friends,

Can you please help me in selecting one of the two earphones. I like balanced & original sound output.

Best Regards,
Anjani

Probably best to do a search as there are many threads.

SE530: More popular. Warm and laid back, slamming and somewhat heavy bass, very forward midrange but slightly veiled and rolled off highs. Great for rock and roll, hip hop, trance. More secure, easier fit for most.

TFP: Slightly less bassy but arguably better bass. More detail on the higher end. Very articulate top to bottom. Drier, airier sound. Slightly larger soundstage. Great for jazz, classical. Fit seems to work well or not at all. Slightly bulkier, stick out of ears farther.

Hard to say either is "better." It's a personal preference thing. Because of popularity more people will say they love SE530 better but you need to hear from people that have heard or have both. I give a slight nod to TFP but I listen to a fair amount of jazz. I DO like the way drums slam with the Shures a little better.

Thats one of the least biased posts on the issue that I've ever seen. I think it pretty much sums it up.

yeh both have qualities, and in the end i would call it evens on sound quality, both do different music better.

on looks, comfort and design shure stole it for me. not many would argue with that but sound quality wise, both are superb it really is down to what you listen to

manaox2 summed it up perfectly. I find that a majority of the people who OWN both earphones, tend to lean toward the Triple.fi 10 Pro. It, in my opinion aswell is a better sounding earphone..BUT..If you can wait...I would go for the Westone 3.. I hear its awesome and that it surpasses both TF10 and SE530/E500. But between the 2 mentioned above, go the TF10 in my opinion. Oh and the reason I say OWN, is because I find that with my earphones, I need to own them, to really fully experience them. I have heard the e500, but I live with triple.fi everyday and thus I know its true potential. I like the sound better than the e500, but again, I have only heard the e500, I can't say that I have had a chance to sit down and experience/live with it. From what I have heard, Id say the triple.fi is much better, but take the advice from someone who lives with the 2 earphones and can tell you more about them.

the triple fi's didn't fit my ears ... I could not get a good seal with them, which is a critical flaw if it applies to you

i tried the e-500, and i really didnt like it, so i bought the tf10, and having had the tf10, i realized how comfy the e500's were, but sound wise, i think the tf10 are better for me.. it just seems to me that the e500's really lack attack and it, to me, makes the music sound boring.. and if you are getting the tf10's you really should get the black olives, it really solves the fit and comfort issues i had with the tf10..

Do these fit on the Triple.Fi's?
I thought the inner whole was differently sized?

You have to stretch them pretty good and they will barely fit. I managed to put them on a few times, but it was a hassle. I personally used a leather or metal punch to stretch them and quickly twist them on. They pretty much cannot be removed without destroying the foam, but the triple.fi stem is pretty sturdy.

Sometimes the Shures sounded a little "honky" to me. I heard this has to do with nozzle configuration and getting three drivers of sound out of that skinny tube.

Not sure anyone else occasionally hears the honkiness?
