Which Maximum gain: 0dB, 10dB, 20dB for Grado RS1i? Using Lehmann Audio Black Cube

Depends on how you want to listen to music. How the drivers are matched doesn't have anything to do with how the gain of your amp is set.

If on 0db gain you can listen to the headphones at a comfortable volume pot level, then just use that. Maybe you can try 10db gain, but with grado's impedance and sensitivity might be too much... Don't know, just give it a try.

Agreed. Use the lowest gain setting that still allows you to achieve sufficient levels. No need for a lot of excess gain.

Do you order the amp with one of the settings or is it variable? I think that 10 is too high for the rs-1 but that 0 is too low. I think that 4-6 is what you should be aiming for, but if that isn't possible I would say 0 as long as you don't listen too loudly.

The black cube has 3 switchable gain settings.
