The only one I am being exposed at is the Logitech Z-5500, what are your thoughts on this set?

yes. Any reciever and stereo setup is way better.

But as far as PC speakers the THX Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 blow those out of the water.

The best 7.1 & 5.1 Computer Speakers

Creative Gigaworks S750 is the best 7.1 system or the Creative Megaworks 5.1 will blow the Z5500 out of the water.

Creative Megaworks 5.1 or the Cambridge SoundWorks MegaWorks 510D also seems to be discontinued

Edit: I thought leoseller was talking about the Cambridge SoundWorks MegaWorks, but he seems to be talking about Creative MegaWorks THX 5.1 550. They kind of look like the same thing, I know that Creative owned Cambridge SoundWorks MegaWorks 510D. I think Cambridge SoundWorks MegaWorks 510D was ceased production and Creative took over that model and remodeled it to Creative MegaWorks THX 5.1 550.

you can buy direct from creative as far as the original cambridge
that is only the home line now.

You can always build speakers...seen in the DIY department...that seems like a good alternative...which is what im doing.
