Hi,

I currently own a D2000 and I need a second closed cam and I also want to go high-end/audiophile. I listen to 70s rock and metal (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Rush, Iron, Judas, Sabbath, Motorhead)  and I think the D2000 is good and like its bass punch but I think it is not lively enough. I run from a Cowon Z2>Ibasso Warbler P4.

From the threads, T5p is lively but I am concerned that T5p has not enough bass. Can it match D2000 bass?
ED8 from the threads has a good bass punch. Is it brighter and more lively than D2000?
From the threads D7100 has some flaws that folks that listen to classical and jazz pointed out but not sure if they matter to me, is it a high-end D2000?

Which is the right for me Ed8, T5p or D7100?

I don't have the D7100 but do have the D600, and I heard that the 7100 has even more bass than the D600, if that is the case then the 7100 will easily satisfy all your bass needs. The 600 doesn't image very well though, things sound messy at times, and the very top treble sparkle seems to be lacking, but definitely not veiled.

ED8 have good bass as well but seems to be no match quantity-wise to the Denons FWIR.

Just want to update that I end up buying the ED8 and I am very happy with the cams. Its clarity is superior to the D2000 and bass is plenty. In addition, it is very easy to drive and portable amps are not required. Finally, much smaller.
