I only have experience in a few in-ears, but need new ones and am lost. I have read Head-fi for hours, and have gathered a few dozen models on my "perhaps" list. But I'm struggling a bit in understanding the precise meanings of sound descriptions in English. I'm a retired sound engineer, so I know I am a bit pickier than most.

I have owned:
- older Nuforce NE-7M (bronze+mic) and NE6 (blue)
- AKG K324 & Creative EP630
But all of them had a low treble range in 3-5KHz that I find overwhelmingly piercing.

What I absolutely need:
- In-ears that block external sounds very well (3rd party rubbers ok)
- Slightly reduced, soft/tender 3.5KHz range
- Bass that goes deep and is slightly boosted
(Slightly Bassy, Bassy Balanced or Extended Warm&Smooth sound signature)
- Y-cable (equal length cables)
- Less than $100

What I want:
- Hands-free microphone for iPhone
- Extended but smooth/warm/non-piercing treble frequencies
- Warm midrange
- less than $50

I wouldn't mind modifying the in-ears a bit if needed. I could even use the cable up to the microphone from my previous in-ears, so in-ears without a mic is also an option.

Models that I think might be suitable:
- Fischer Audio Consonance
- Hifiman RE-400i
- Crossroads Mylar One Quattro

I live in Finland, so I prefer to buy from Europe or China, as import tax are added to purchases from USA.
Thanks for any help!
