I'm trying to decide between the Super FreQ's, Q-Jays, and the Audio Technica ATH-CK9.

Right now I'm looking for something in that price-range, as I've just blown TONS of money on valentines day ^^;
So basically just sub-$200 for now; I'd be open to any suggestions, but not for ones I've alreadi tried or owned.

But I'm also looking for aesthetics =P so no suggestions for Denon's please XD (this is my own opinion in terms of looks, so plz dun flame meeee)

The Rundown:
-FreQs=more comfortable, triple driver; 3-way crossover
-Q-Jays=insanely small, dual driver
-ATH-CK9=they look pretty =P

I'm looking for a more balanced sound, but i wouldn't mind if they were a tad bit bass-shy (as the CK9's), and would definitely prefer clarity over bass. I absolutely love the E4c's, while some may argue about the lack of bass and the rolled-off treble, but I think it sounds amazing, and definitely more comfortable than the ER4's.

So right now I'm leaning more towards the FreQ's, then the Q-Jays (though I'm eventually gonna have them all, jus dunno how far along that would be tho; that includes the ones i want in my sig too that are above the $200 zone)

mmm yeah, i was originally obsessed with Q-jays, and was more tempted to buy them after more good reviews kept pouring in, but there's been numerous problems as to the right or left earphone completely malfunctioning, which makes me skeptical about quality control

their resolution for it is "switch the filters", which about 2/5 times works, and even if it does, it requires them to be switched every 2 weeks or so, which only comes with 8 filters, therefore constantly requiring me to spend more and more money just to use them.

just curious, but in your sig, you have like 4 pairs of se210's...why/how? But anyways, filters have to do with how well you clean your ears and how much ear gunk you produce, so I'm sure you'll be fine unless you're a gunk producer

I clean my ears on a regular basis so they realli don't have that much... "gunk" in them XD
But after reading countless reports of the Q-Jays having the same problem; it's almost certain that it's not the filters, but they refuse to accept it.
Though they are willing to change them on warrenty, but it's still a pain in the @$$ cuz more likely then not, the problem's gonna occur in one point or another.

And as for the SE210's, I only have 3 pairs now; some kid riding a bike passed me, and the handle tugged on em and the cable was ripped. I might get Shure to replace them if they're willing to, but still... And How; I buy them at best buy.

Also, like the Aurvana's, I just have easy access to them locally without having to order stuff online, although the prices compared to what I can get online are catastrophic ^^;
And why, cuz... well I actually don't know why... But it all originated from Head-Fi >___<
