Hi All,
I'm new to posting here, but i'm already a long time lurker. I'm not really into headphones because of the headphones. I love to feel bass and hear stage dimensions, but sometimes headphones are the only option with a family. I can't live without music either.
I will be using the DDDAC (non-oversampling DAC without output filter) because of it's non fatiguing sound and very acurate timing, resulting in a perfect midrange and a very tight and responsive bass. The AKG K701 is choosen because of it's bass extension and non-ephasized mid-bass in combination with a perfect and revealing midrange. Over bright highs with these cans are a non-issue in combination with the DDDAC.
Can anyone recommend a good heaphone amp with the next qualifications:
- equlally performant in the timing domain
- complementing or matching sound to the above combination
- has selectable crossfeed
- max price €350
Other than this, nothing really matters (as far as i can imagine). Off the shelve or DIY kit doesn't matter either, i slighthly prefer DIY kits.
All comments are welcomed and appreciated.
Kind regards,
Marc
