I'm surprised the KSC-75's haven't been mentioned as much as i think they should have been. Well, I think the KSC-75's were the first headphones to open my eyes, after i started researching for new headphones because I wasn't satisfied with a pair of Sony ex81s.

Well, lets just say I'm pretty satisfied now

I got into the audio thing when I got Senn CX300s, but I did have some Phillips noise canceling earbuds before that, but that was for the isolation more than the sound.

The first headphone that got me into the "hobby" was the Etymotic er-4p. I got them shortly after joining head-fi. I can remember thinking how CRAZY I thought people were for spending so much on a pair of headphones.... At the time, they were selling for like $269. Look at me now!

Yea, I checked out the Koss website one day and see they still make them but I have never seen any store selling them for years. Wonder what the latest models sound like? I remember they impressed me when I had them back in 1979.

I sure liked the Pro-4AA's sound, but damn, they were uncomfortable to wear. Anyone who thinks Grados are uncomfortable should pop on a Pro-4AA.

They must have been designed by Vise-Grip!

The 4AAA, on the other hand, with reasonably new pads, is quite a bit better, but it still doesn't compare to my Beyers - or even my SR60, for that matter.

What was different about AA and AAA? I'm not sure which version I had now. Mine were a khaki sort of green and not tan like in that photo. Same pair they always advertised as musicians using in studios.

Damn i sorta miss them now that i mention it heh.

Had them for around 5yrs before even looking for a new pair of phones.
