I know very little about headphones, and as such, I was referred here by a friend on another forum, saying this site had a lot of really knowledgable people.

What I use my headphones for is just home listening on the computer. I stay up pretty late hours (often until 8 AM or so) and because of this, I have to wear headphones or the music will bother the people I live with. Until this point, I've been using a pair of 30$ Aiwas that were pretty terrible. They were a gift. =/

I've been reading some stuff online and stumbled upon the headphonereviews.com glossary and judging from the definitions it provides, I'm looking for a closed circumaural set. I'm thinking closed because sometimes I do listen to them with other people in the room and I don't want the sound leaking out much. I'm thinking I want circumaural too, as I've read that they're more comfortable for extended listening.

My price limit is around 80-90 bucks, though I could go a bit higher. Can you suggest any decent headphones?

Look for Audio Technica ATH-A500s for $99 new but a lot cheaper used here at HeadFi. They are closed, great for gaming on the cheap, and are easy to drive. They also offer decent sound for what you pay for.
