I'm not shure but from what I've heard the k701s should be best for this type of music because their wide soundstage.
Voices sound a bit shrill on my HD650's probably because the rest of my equipment isn't up to par but on my Shure e500's it is breathtaking.

I've got the K601 and the HD580. I prefer both the sound and the comfort of the AKG. I heard some of the headphones on your list at a meet, but a meet is a horrible place to listen to open phones.

I have HD 590s. Great flat response and SUPER comfortable. Try to sit through Parsifal with headphones that cut off circulation to your ears! It can't be done. I could sleep in my 590s.

See ya

The AKG Kx01 headphones are also very comfortable. I've worn them for 8 hours with only short breaks.

Beyer 880 or better still 990s. With the Hornet, use 250 ohm altho 600 will work too I'm told. Have both 880 and 990 and used to have Hornet so Iknow they work. Also listen to big symphonies--the Mahler type--and lotsa opera.

HD600 - balanced, not sharp in the highs like the K701s can be at times. The RS-1 would be good with flats for the voice, but would be to compact for all of the instruments to breath.
