There are so many headphones out there, and people label them with terms such as warm, neutral, colored, fun, soft, and so on.

Well, my question is, which headphones are generally considered the most exciting? The most fun to listen to? I'm sure opinions differ, but I'd love to hear yours.

The impression I got from reading comments on the RS-1 and RS-2 is that the RS-2 is more, uh, Grado-ish? You think the RS-1 is more fun?

Edit: ^ Oh, there's the RS-2 =p

the Sony SA5000 are interesting, they are very revealing and have good detail, deep punchy bass thats not bloated, overall sound was middle of the road, not dry but not overly colored or fake either. if you are sensitive to sharp high frequency i would avoid them, they are harsh even with smooth gear (RSA HR-2 smooth).

I found the RS-1 more exciting and the RS-2 more balanced and laid back.
