I'm thinking of buying this FiiO Kilimanjaro 2 (E11K)

and pairing it with an 80 ohm DT770 (to be bought), all hooked up to my laptop.  This FiiO fits nicely within my £50 amazon gift token. I also want to use the FiiO with my Samsung phone. Do you recommend this one?  I don't really want to spend more on other models such as the E10K.

How about the E06 or would that be a bit rubbish?

Lol I have the E11K but use it with portable devices (iPod classic and FiiO X1), and I can recommend it for this purpose. I think for £46 you can't go wrong. I use the E06 with an iPod shuffle out on the bike - again, can recommend it.

Thanks Bytor. Since you have both the E06 and E11K, what can you say about the E06 in terms of performance compared to the E11K, and would either sufficiently power an 80 ohm DT 770? One thing I prefer about the E06 is the small size, easy to stick in my pocket. But I don't want to sacrifice power and audio quality.

Go for the E11K, if you don't, you will only buy it at a later date. The E06 is good, but the E11K is better.

Great, I'll get the E11K then.  Thanks.

Sorry for 'stealing' this thread but it shown up in  fiio e11k threads so...
On the amp it says : input 5V=500mA. This means .5 amps. I have no .5A charger. All chargers that I have are around 2A. How do I charge this except of using pc usb? Or the current from the charger depends/changes on the resistance of what is charged?
