OK, so Monster have proved that they can make an IEM worth something approaching the asking price, but in general they have been guilty of releasing headphone versions of their cables - overhyped and massively overpriced. What is interesting from a Head-Fi POV is that we dont see as much derision of Skullcandy now - that seems to have moved to Monster's products, particularly the Beats.

Eh... I personally don't care for skull candies.. I haven't heard them or the beats..
 
But, I find the skull candies are some of the ugliest headphones I've ever seen..
 
 
The one person I personally knew to have them wasn't someone I'd consider to intelligent either... 
 
I see people using them and I figured its their money what do I really care?
 
Tablet computers on the other hand..

monster, simply because the commercials for the beats advertise they sound "the way its heard in the studio" that is far from the truth and those headphones are far from accurate by any means.
