I've been set for a while on getting m50's for a while but now I'm stuck between a few choices.

Choice 1:
http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/ATH-M50-SPECIAL
Let's start off with the original and the $40 rebate caught my eye and the total comes out to be roughly $135.  Seems like a good deal.

Choice 2:

The thing that caught my eye was the removable cable.  I've seen the thread on modding but I would rather buy one already done.  Roughly $150

Choice 3:

Same as choice 2 but the limited edition ones.  Idk if it's worth the extra money and I would've preferred the coiled cable instead.  I also heard these are painted silver so I'm worried about the paint fading or scratching.  Roughly $160

I'm leaning toward my last 2 choices because of the removable cable.  Has anyone bought these and hows the build quality of the reassembled ones?

Hopefully you guys can help me make my decision. Thanks

I doubt there's significant differences on sound quality between them. I'd go for the first one. (unless you are worried on how they look)

I have the ATH-Pro700 gold version. It's pretty much the same headphone and I've been using them alot for almost 2 years. There is no wear on the paint but the gold print on top of the headband almost faded away.

Woah! I didn't even know there was a version of the M50's with a removable cable. I didn't see it on the AT website. I'd go with choice #2.
