i've had both. i sold the md33s and kept the e2c.

e2c pros:
-less bass
-little more details
-isolate more
-slightly bigger sound stage (but very small difference and not much of a deal with canalphone)

e2c cons:
-bothersome to insert and reinsert
-not as comfortable
-weak treble power

md33s pro:
-lower and punchier low bass
-more comfortable
-smoother sound for those who likes
-easier and faster to insert
-cost twice less, but sound almost as decent

md33s cons:
-too much mid bass
-dont isolate as much

Would the MD33s isolation be enough to listen to music at a not too loud volume during a plane ride?

thanks.
