I just ordered my ultrasone hfi780 and was going to go unamp but decided that I want the full extent of these bad boys so in order to do that I need a good amp.

I listen to primarily Hip Hop, R/B, Pop, House, Rock, and some metal. I will be using both my macbook and my hp desktop to play these from. I was wondering whats a good amp to get for these headphones.

Also Im thinking about recableing these with ALO mod that everyone has been doing with these a few months after I burn these in.

Thanks in Advance

I highly recommend the ALO Rx. I have it running my Mogami recabled 780's, and it's an addictive combination. I don't know what your budget is, but I can't recommend that combo enough. The Rx extends the bass further, while controlling it better, and expands the soundstage, while adding more treble resolution too. Improvements across the board.

Scrivs, I use my ALO Rx or my RSA Predator, but prefer the Rx. It has a wider soundstage.
